Costeñita at Costeño Beach was a brand activation designed for 8 de Diamantes for the beer brand Costeñita, located at Costeño Beach on the Caribbean coast of Colombia.
The project focused on creating a relaxed beach identity through flags, bar details, signage, plants, carts, and small branded elements that could blend naturally with the hotel’s tropical atmosphere.

Starting point
The challenge was to make the brand feel present without breaking the beach environment. The intervention needed to feel light, local, colorful, and connected to the Caribbean mood of the place.

Problem solving
Most of the project was focused on visual and spatial branding. I designed the graphic elements, flags, bar interventions, small signs, and decorative pieces to create a cohesive Costeñita language across the space.
The cart was the most technical piece. I developed it parametrically so its proportions, roof, wheels, cooler space, and dimensions could be adjusted and prepared for production.

Implementation
The final proposal included a family of beach-oriented brand elements: hanging flags, bar signage, tabletop pieces, branded carts, and visual accents for the hotel environment.
The design used a tropical color palette, wood textures, palm references, and lightweight elements to make Costeñita feel like part of the place rather than an added advertisement.

Results
The project created a relaxed and recognizable Costeñita presence at Costeño Beach. It connected the beer brand with the Caribbean setting through simple, flexible, and visually clear design elements.
It also shows how a mostly graphic brand activation can still include computational design, using parametric modeling to solve a production-ready object like the beach cart.
